About the Zuck Family
Zuck Cattle is run by Josh and Lacey Zuck, along with their twin daughters, Riggins and Mesa, just outside Westgate, Iowa.
Our farm sits at the intersection of two family legacies. Today, our cow-calf herd and dairy cows are raised on Lacey’s family farm, while our heifer development program operates on Josh’s family farm just down the road. Between the two places, our roots in agriculture run several generations deep, and now we’re raising our girls as the next generation, right in the middle of it all.
Around here, we believe great food begins long before it reaches the kitchen. It starts in the pasture, in the soil, and in the animals themselves. When the land is cared for well and livestock are raised with purpose, the result is simple: raw power in the system and pure quality in the food it produces.

Our Cattle
Cattle have always been at the heart of what we do.
Josh has spent most of his life around beef cattle and brings a deep passion for genetics, breeding decisions, and building cattle that perform in the real world. What began as an Angus-based herd has grown over the years to include Angus, Maine-Anjou, and Chi-influenced cattle, along with a select group of show stock genetics.
Our goal is straightforward: to breed cattle that combine performance, structural integrity, and strong maternal traits so each generation improves on the last. Our cow-calf herd is built with that purpose in mind.
The cattle we raise are meant to be functional and productive—animals that look impressive in the ring, but also have the structure, longevity, and maternal strength to excel where it matters most: out in the pasture.

Our Dairy
Lacey grew up on this same farm, though the operation looked a little different when she was young. After her family exited the dairy industry, the farm transitioned into a more unconventional mix of buffalo, elk, and commercial row crops. That upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for livestock, land stewardship, and the realities of building a life in agriculture.
Before returning to the farm full-time, Lacey spent more than fifteen years working in healthcare software implementation. Along the way, she also became a certified personal trainer and nutritionist, which sparked a deeper interest in the connection between how food is raised and how it fuels our bodies. The more we learned about food systems, the more we found ourselves drawn back to the basics: real food, raised responsibly, by people you actually know.
That curiosity eventually led to the addition of a small micro-dairy on the farm.
What began with a single family milk cow has grown into a small herd focused on producing rich, nutrient-dense milk for local families. Today, our dairy herd includes breeds like Normande and Jersey, known for producing exceptionally creamy milk. From that milk, we create a variety of dairy products, including low-sugar fruit yogurts, heavy cream, butter, and our signature MooBrew ready-to-drink lattes. Alongside our dairy offerings, we also finish a portion of our cattle for locker beef, giving families the opportunity to fill their freezer with beef raised right here on the farm.
Everything we produce reflects the same principle that guides our entire operation: food that begins with the raw power of healthy animals and healthy land, and ends with pure quality for the families who enjoy it.

Our Land
At the core of everything we do is a belief that farming should work with the land, not against it. Our cattle are raised using regenerative practices that prioritize soil health, pasture health, and animal wellbeing. Through rotational grazing, thoughtful breeding decisions, and careful land management, we aim to build a system where the land improves each year rather than being depleted.
Healthy soil grows healthy grass.
Healthy grass raises healthy cattle.
Healthy cattle produce nourishing food.
It’s a simple philosophy that allows the raw power of the land and livestock to create food of pure quality. These days, our daughters are growing up right alongside the farm, learning the rhythm of chores, calves hitting the ground, and cows lining up for milking. Farming here is truly a family effort, and we’re grateful every day for the opportunity to share it with our community.
Whether you’re picking up milk from the farm cooler, grabbing yogurt at a drop site, or simply following along with life on the farm, we’re glad you’re here.
Welcome to Zuck Cattle—where the raw power of the land and livestock creates food of pure quality.
